I think it’s force of habit, during their dating period he very rarely showed her affection in public because he didn’t want the media to make a big fuss about it. But even now that they are married he doesn’t show a great deal of affection, the Olympics was really the first time since they were married I saw some really PDA.
I also think William is a bit of a loner to begin with, even when he has done public engagements with Harry he tends to leave Harry alone ad do his own thing.
